Israel was attacked by terrorists on Saturday.
More than 1,000 innocents were killed by these monsters that hide among civilian targets.
So, it was not a surprise to learn that Joe Biden called Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu.
It was, however, a surprise to hear of the details that he shared during that call.
More Attention
The sad fact of this is that Israel will have to target civilian areas because that is where Hamas likes to hide and set up headquarters.
This is a known terrorist tactic to try to prevent their enemies from coming after them.
One would hope that during a time of war, residents would be smart enough to leave those areas knowing that strikes are coming, but that is not always the case.
This is just the nature of war in the Middle East.
Biden shared a call he had with Netanyahu on this front.
He stated, “Like every nation in the world, Israel has the right to respond — indeed, has a duty to respond — to these vicious attacks.”
Biden continued, “We also discussed how democracies like Israel and the United States are stronger and more secure when we act according to the rule of law.
“Terrorists purposefully target civilians, kill them.
“We uphold the laws of war — the law of war. It matters.”
I 100 percent agree with that, but again, these are not normal people.
I am sure that Netanyahu will warn civilians to move and give them time to evacuate, but I guess my problem here is that Biden is drawing attention to something that is inevitable in this war.
The fact that there are members of Congress who are supporting Palestine in this war only means that more light will be shined on this.
And when civilians are killed in this war in Gaza, and there will be civilian casualties, these traitors in Congress will scream from the high heavens while sitting there silently as innocents are killed by the thousands in Israel.
