The failure of this administration to be proactive has once again cost this country and this world.
Just a few weeks ago, the Biden administration had South Korea unfreeze $6 billion in Iranian assets.
Even after the attack against Israel, however, they refuse to freeze that money again.
We’re Not Doing It
The White House remains firm that the money is only going to be disbursed to approved vendors for humanitarian purposes.
Iran’s president, however, is already on record saying that he will do whatever he wants with that money.
Let’s face it… it is not exactly out of line to think that Iran’s leadership would threaten these vendors and take the money for its own purposes.
With the war in Israel, it just makes sense to freeze that money to ensure it is not used during this war.
When National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan was asked about freezing the money, he stated that they had no intention of doing so.
He added, “We have not yet had a dollar of that $6 billion spent, and I will leave it at that.”
So, I guess he wants to wait until he hears some horror story of how someone was killed and the money was stolen before he decides to freeze the cash again.
They cannot be trusted, but this administration insists on pacifying Iran while our allies are being murdered.
