Democrats have had it out for Justice Thomas from the first day he was nominated as a Supreme Court Justice.
After they found out about his friendship with Harlan Crow, they started to demand he be removed from the bench.
Well, old Clarence just turned the tables on them a bit.
Change the Rules
The big huff now is that Thomas was getting “gifts” from his buddy Crow.
But, Thomas did not do anything wrong because the reporting rules at the time did not require him to report the gifts.
Well, the Dems had the rules changed, so now Thomas’ filings show everything… including the gifts from Crow.
In Thomas’ latest filing, he documented travel on Crow’s private jet, but the reason was what had me laughing.
To justify the use of the private jet, Thomas stated that his security team recommended that he not fly commercial whenever possible.
Why? Well, after Roe v. Wade was overturned, his team did not believe it was safe for the polarizing justice to be trapped in a tube with strangers that might come after him, so he used Crow’s plane to avoid the liberal horde.
Thomas’ attorney, Elliot Burke, stated, “Much of the noise to the contrary is based on malicious and sloppy reporting and attacks from partisans who disagree with his jurisprudence and want to drive him and others off the Court.”
