Over the last few months, Democrats have been attacking Justice Clarence Thomas.
At the heart of the attacks are what they deemed to have been ethics violations, even though, by the current ethics rules of the court, Thomas did nothing wrong.
Those attacks were nothing more than a lead-in to the end game for Democrats, which has just passed through committee in the Senate.
Lock Them Down
The attacks against Thomas were nothing more than a stage setter for Democrats to introduce new ethics rules for the Supreme Court.
They are doing this in the hopes of launching investigations into conservative justices to have them removed while Biden is still in office.
The new rules would focus on trips and gifts, as well as appointing an oversight committee that would consist of judges from the lower courts.
This oversight panel would be charged with investigating any allegations against the justices.
Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) was livid.
He stated, “What you’re trying to do is not improve the court, you’re trying to destroy it as it exists.”
Graham continued, “You have done just about everything there is to do to delegitimize this court.
“Members of the Democratic leadership went to the steps of the Supreme Court and literally threatened people.”
Democrats are throwing everything they can at this court, and they are not going to stop until they, at the very least, have Thomas removed.
