It would appear that this phenomenon of roller coasters going off the track is not solely happening here in the United States.
A horrific accident was reported this weekend in Sweden.
A Jetline rollercoaster accident at Gröna Lund has left one person dead as well as nine more injured.
The Accident
Gröna Lund is the oldest amusement park in Sweden.
On Sunday, it was also the scene of a tragic death.
When the Jetline roller coaster partially derailed, it sent several passengers on the coaster plummeting to the ground.
When the train derailed, the cars were left dangling about 20 feet off the ground.
Several people fell out, but one of them actually managed to hang on to the track without falling.
Of those that were injured, three of them were children, all of whom were released from the hospital on Monday.
Four of the adults that were injured remained hospitalized, two of them in very serious condition.
The identity and age of the departed has not yet been released.
The park could possibly face charges of manslaughter if authorities find negligence.
