Well, it’s about time.

Breaking news has come in this Tuesday morning, June 20 that federal charges have officially been filed against Hunter Biden.

Joe Biden’s son is facing charges for federal tax violations as well as a gun charge.

NBC reported:

“Federal charges have been filed against Hunter Biden in a case involving taxes and gun possession charge, he is expected to plead guilty to the tax charges only. He is expected to get pre-trial diversion for the gun charge.”

As we all know, Hunter has been under investigation since 2018 for potential tax violations and foreign lobbying violations, to just name a few.

The investigation has been led by Trump appointed prosecutor and Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss.

At this time, charges related to violation of foreign lobbying laws and false statements are still under consideration.

The federal investigation into Hunter was partially prompted by Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) that concerned foreign transactions originating from “China and other foreign nations,” according to Fox News.

A Treasury Department official clarified that filing a SAR doesn’t indicate a criminal act or violation. Instead, it signifies that a transaction appears unusual for the customer in question.

That being said, however, a SAR can definitely be a part of a money laundering or tax investigation.

Back in December 2020, Hunter Biden released this statement regarding the investigation:

“I take this matter very seriously, but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors.”
