Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot could see the writing on the wall.
She was trailing badly in the polls and as the incumbent, unlikely to make it to the runoff election.
After what I would consider one of the worst terms we have seen in recent history, she refused to take blame.
Lame Excuse
Just as I had predicted, Lightfoot pointed the finger at everyone but herself for her failures.
Now, as you read these comments, keep in mind that she IS the incumbent.
Lightfoot, on why she was polling so badly, stated, “I’m a Black woman and, let’s not forget, some folks frankly don’t support us in leadership roles.”
So, I am confused…
Was she not a black woman when she was elected to office in the first place?
This was not about her gender, her race, or her sexual orientation.
This was about her complete and utter failure to change Chicago for the better.
Enjoy your last days in office, Lori, because your political career is OVER!
