I have not yet figured out the reason, but this administration really likes to poke the bear.
This is happening even though we are in about as weak a position as can be right now.
The latest stab came from Secretary Blinken, directed at China, and it did not go over well at all.
Be Careful
If you are going to talk tough, you better be able to back it up.
Unfortunately, Joe Biden has put our country in a position where it is in no position to back up such talk.
To that point, Blinken has warned China not to arm Russia after rumors have surfaced that China was considering offering Russia lethal aid for the war against Ukraine.
However, while Blinken is playing checkers, China is playing Chess.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Wang Wenbin responded, “It is the U.S. not China, that has been pouring weapons into the battlefield.
“The U.S. is in no position to tell China what to do.
“We would never stand for finger-pointing, or even coercion and pressurizing from the U.S. on our relations with Russia.”
Wang continued, “The international community is fully aware who is calling for dialogue and striving for peace, and who is fanning the flames and stoking confrontation.
“We urge the US side to seriously reflect on the role it has played, do something to actually help deescalate the situation and promote peace talks, and stop deflecting the blame and spreading disinformation.”
Here is the issue… our stockpiles are so low from giving Ukraine so much, we are in no position to get involved in a conflict, especially on multiple fronts, and especially when aiding other countries with lethal aid.
What would happen if China decided to make a move on Taiwan, then, after the United States provided lethal aid to that country, both Russia and China decided to attack the United States from the west and north.
Blinken is playing a dangerous game of words, but at this point, I don’t think China is really interested in chatting.
Keep in mind, our military leaders have even come forward expressing concern about our stockpiles right now, so this is a real issue, and there is Blinken, walking right up the fire and dropping a can of gasoline on it.
