It’s official…
Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) is running for office in 2024.
Hold on, now… we didn’t say he was running for president!
It’s Confirmed
In 2016, Ted Cruz was the last man standing against Donald Trump in a very crowded field.
Will he run again?
Cruz was asked that question this weekend and responded, “I’m fighting in the Senate.
“I’m running for re-election in the Senate.
“I’m focused on the battles in the United States Senate.”
When Cruz was asked about a possible presidential run, he stated, “I’m focused on the fight. … There will be plenty of time to discuss 2024 presidential, they’ll be plenty of time for that.”
Well, that is actually not that much time, Ted, because you cannot run for both offices at the same time.
With Trump in this race, I don’t see Cruz running.
With Trump’s legal problems, however, I think Cruz is hedging his bets in case Trump has to drop out, leaving the door wide open for everyone else.
