ICYMI – Just prior to the election, Arizona gubernatorial candidate Katie Hobbs had her election HQ burglarized.
Not long after that, Kari Lake reported that a staffer was exposed to a mysterious white powder from an envelope that was delivered to the office.
The lab tests have come back.
There was nothing in the envelope.
Did She Lie?
So, Lake will probably not get the benefit of the doubt here.
Her attachment to Trump and questions about the 2020 election have the deck stacked against her.
Regarding the envelope, the Phoenix Police stated, “The state lab tested the items turned over to them regarding incident #2022-1665892 and has determined there was no substance inside.”
No substance… not a harmless substance, which makes it sound like they made up the entire story.
I am sure the media will jump all over this, so it will be interesting to see what Lake says about the testing.
At the time, Hobbs and Lake’s race was still too close to call.
Lake had guaranteed a win, but with every new batch, she seemed to slide back a bit further.
