Joe Biden should have stuck to the script.
Biden decided to ad lib for a few seconds during his SOTU speech.
Those few minutes, however, did irreparable harm to the left.

The far left wants oil and gas gone yesterday.
Biden has seemingly come to the realization that we simply cannot do this, especially now.
So, Joe decided to tell a story about how he has been talking to oil executives.
He recalled an alleged conversation (I say this because it probably only took place in Joe’s head) with an oil executive about investment in the industry in this country.
Joe said he told them, “We are still going to need oil and gas for a while,” at least 10 years, which drew a chuckle from Republicans.
As Republicans were laughing, Democrats and liberals were gasping for air, horrified that Biden just agreed that we need oil.
A 10-year promise in business is nothing, however, as the writing is still on the wall.
If you are telling me you want me to invest billions but I am going to be closing my doors in 10 years, I laugh in your face and bleed every penny I can from that business.
Biden asks for their help in one moment, then slams them the next, so I would not expect any change anytime soon from the oil industry.
