I am starting to wonder what it takes to get fired from this administration.
Sam Brinton, the deputy assistant secretary for spent fuel and waste disposition for the Department of Energy, has now been charged in a second crime.
In October, Brinton was charged with felony theft for stealing a suitcase off a carousel.
Now, a second charge has surfaced in a similar theft in Nevada.
Warrant Issued
On Thursday, a warrant for Brinton was issue for grand larceny of an item valued between $1,200 and $5,000 by Las Vegas prosecutors.
Brinton has tried to brush off the first charge as being tired.
However, the airport video tells a much different story.
Brinton could be seen removing the tags from the luggage before leaving the airport.
Not only that, but he was seen using the stolen luggage on at least two occasions after the original theft.
Even with these charges, as far as we know, Brinton has not been terminated, only put on leave.
The Department of Energy stated, “Sam Brinton is on leave from DOE, and Dr. Kim Petry is performing the duties of deputy assistant secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition.”
Maybe now that it appears as though he is a serial thief they will finally fire him.
