Joe Biden has to be wondering just how bad it is to work for Kamala Harris at this point.
His VP just had another high-ranking communication official turn in his resignation.
Jamal Simmons is calling it quits.
But You Just Started…
Simmons came aboard as Harris’ communications director after the departure of Ashley Etienne.
Etienne was one of several staffers that left last year as Harris was imploding.
Simmons is reportedly leaving because his wife took a position in New York and they are moving the family there.
Me… I am not buying that because he could easily commute between New York and DC if he wanted to remain a part of Harris’ team.
Lorraine Voles, Harris’ new Chief of Staff, stated, “I knew Jamal has young children and was concerned about time away from them, but I also knew he could help me steady the ship.
“Because of his deep respect for the Vice President, he agreed to come on board for a year.”
Simmons, in announcing his departure, added, “Working for Vice President Harris has been an honor and a privilege.
“I’m so thankful for the confidence she put in me and I will miss this fantastic team more than anything.”
History has shown up that once the gate opens for Harris, everyone starts to run out, so we will have to see how this one plays out.
