A Republican congresswoman had a bit of a medical scare this weekend.
Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-IA) was taken to the hospital on Sunday.
It was later reported that she was treated for a kidney infection.
Scary Moment
On Monday, her office stated, “Congresswoman Hinson was admitted to UnityPoint St. Luke’s Hospital yesterday evening where she is being treated for a kidney infection.
“She is looking forward to being back on the road soon.
“She appreciates all of the prayers and well wishes.”
She was reportedly feeling better, with her office adding, “She sincerely appreciates everyone who has reached out, and is grateful for the incredible doctors and nurses at St. Luke’s Hospital who have provided phenomenal care.
“We will continue to provide updates.”
Hinson is only in her first term in office.
She was also scheduled to have a debate this week, but that has obviously been canceled due to her illness.
