The longest-serving member of the Senate is getting a night in the hospital.
Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT) was taken from his Virginia residence to a DC hospital Thursday night.
His office stated this was a precautionary measure.
Don’t Feel Good
Leady apparently did not feel very well on Thursday when he got home.
At 82 years old, precautionary is something he is probably used to.
The Senator was transported to a DC hospital.
He was admitted overnight for tests and observations.
Not to kick a guy when he is down, but Leahy, like many other members of Congress, probably should consider retiring.
He has been in office for 48 years, something I highly doubt our Founding Fathers envisioned when they wrote our Constitution.
These people are like sports stars, except instead of adulation it is power.
