Russia has responded to the attack against a key bridge.
Putin authorized numerous missile strikes that hit civilian targets in various Ukraine cities.
The strikes took place during rush hour to maximize damage.
Still Cleaning Up
Explosions took place in Lviv, Ternopil, and Zhytomyr in western Ukraine, Dnipro and Kremenchuk in central Ukraine, Zaporizhzhia in the south, and Kharkiv in the east.
There have already been 10 deaths reported, with more sure to follow once the rubble is cleared.
Putin stated, “The Kyiv regime, with its actions, has put itself on the same level as international terrorist organizations.
“With the most odious groups.
“To leave such acts without a response is simply impossible.”
Ukrainian President Zelensky responded, “They are trying to destroy us and wipe us off the face of the earth.”
He stated the attacks were purposely conducted to promote massive civilian casualties as well as knocking out Ukraine’s power grid.
The attack was clearly a response to the taking out of a bridge that was built by Russia after it had annexed Ukraine’s Crimea peninsula in 2014.
Ukraine celebrated the bridge attack, but it never officially claimed responsibility for the attack.
