Roanoke, Texas…
This is a very small community (less than 10,000 as of the 2020 census) that touts itself as the unique dining capital of Texas.
Oak Street is the main thoroughfare, offering more than a few dozen bars, restaurants, and shops.
Walk through town on a Sunday afternoon, and the streets are quiet until about noon or so, when everyone gets out of church.
A local business owner decided to shock the system with a “family-friendly” drag queen show, complete with armed ANTIFA thugs threatening locals.
Bad Move
Roanoke appears to be a rather conservative community.
They do wholesome events, such as local rodeos and festivals that shut down the main street for walk-only traffic.
The local restaurants will die if they do not get local support, but the owner of Anderson Distillery and Grill just alienated the majority of the community.
The restaurant was already struggling with reviews, with just as many negative as positive, then came Sunday.
As locals returned from Sunday services, this is what they saw…
Another Child Drag Show was hosted in Texas, this time in @CityofRoanokeTX—
Over 20 children were in attendance and multiple teachers.
Here’s a recap of the event:

To make matters worse, armed ANTIFA thugs were telling residents they could not walk on the sidewalk…

Not only that, at one point, ANTIFA appears to have set up sniper posts on a nearby garage…
Sara & I will talk tomorrow about how #Antifa was placed very strategic during the “kid friendly” drag show in @CityofRoanokeTX
Yes, #Antifa was armed like snipers on the 3rd floor of the parking garage. @TaylerUSA will confirm the sighting. @BlazeTV @theblaze @WatchChad pic.twitter.com/SVyY86d4i8

Then there was this…
Same mother seen outside the venue with her son, hanging all over him and trying to kiss him while he pulls away.

Journalist Andy Ngo, who is more or less an expert on ANTIFA, tracked down the thugs on the street…
Armed #Antifa showed up in Roanoke, TX to protect the “kid friendly” drag show at this bar. Armed #Antifa escorted attendees to the vehicles. I counted about 9 AR-15s. @CityofRoanokeTX @SaraGonzalesTX @TaylerUSA @WatchChad @theblaze @BlazeTV pic.twitter.com/S1rOM1dlmo

If they were conservatives instead of liberals, they would be labeled as Neo-Nazis, but even the local cops appeared to give them a pass rather than upset the liberal horde.
The owner posted on Facebook after the event, talking about “love wins,” but I would have to say he lost.
He may have gotten support for this particular event, and the LGBTQ+ community will surely show up for the next drag show.
The problem is, to keep the lights on and bills paid, he needs the local community to support the business, and that is not going to happen.
If you watched the one video above, they were dumping on the community, saying they are in the Stone Age and it is time to come out.
Not to mention residents who literally lived in the tower above where the restaurant is located being threatened by ANTIFA members who were armed to the teeth and too cowardly to show their faces.
This presence was welcomed by the owner, which is not going to sit well with locals.
I watched a dozen or so videos, and while the owner claimed this show passed the test of local officials, I think most people in this community would say that men dressed as women gyrating in front of children and taking tips are far from family entertainment.
If the restaurant is open in six months, it would be a shocking surprise.
