Texas Governor Greg Abbott knew he had to do something to get control of the border situation.
What he did was start working on the border wall with Texas funds and ship illegals to the east coast.
That little stunt has made people far more aware of how difficult it is to handle this mass of humans crossing the border.
Well, Secretary Mayorkas just threw a hissy fit over it.
Havoc!
Mayorkas slammed Abbott for daring to protect his state.
He said, “[W]hen we work with DPS, in coordination with DPS, they are of tremendous assistance to us.
“When state officials work unilaterally and do not coordinate and collaborate with us, it can actually wreak havoc.”
Then he said something that was utterly laughable.
Mayorkas continued, “We’re working very closely with our partners to the south and Mexico.
“On this, we have brought, I think, over 4,000 prosecutions between our two countries.
“I think the attack on the smuggling organizations is what we need to continue, and to continue to escalate.”
Last time I checked, there are at least double that crossing the border every day, so please tell me how you think that pittance of a number is being helpful.
