Two of Trump’s top former officials were targeted in an assassination plot.
An Iranian operative had targeted former National Security Adviser John Bolton and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
The plot, however, was foiled.
Collecting Bounties
A member of General Soleimani’s Revolutionary Guard Corps was the operative.
If you recall, Soleimani was the Iranian general taken out during the Trump administration.
The operative, Shahram Poursafi, was using messaging apps to set up hits.
He had offered $300,000 for John Bolton, who was insulted the bounty was so low.
There was a $1 million stake on the table for Mike Pompeo.
U.S. Attorney Matthew M. Graves for the District of Columbia stated, “Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, through the Defendant, tried to hatch a brazen plot: assassinate a former U.S. official on U.S. soil in retaliation for U.S. actions.
“Iran and other hostile governments should understand that the U.S. Attorney’s Office and our law enforcement partners will do everything in our power to thwart their violent plots and bring those responsible to justice.”
I have also seen reports that the Biden administration was trying to keep all this quiet so as not to jeopardize negotiations with Iran in the nuclear deal.
How about we take them off the map with a massive strike instead?
This report should be enough to immediately halt any deals with Iran, but something tells me Joe the puppet will continue to sit down and talk to them.
