With all we have going on in this country right now, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is trying to grab some cheap headlines.
Pelosi is heading to Taiwan to show American strength, as if that old hag can intimidate anyone.
China is now making threats over the visit, so our military has been forced to move an entire carrier strike group into place just in case China decides to light the candle.
Seriously?
Does anyone really believe these trips make a difference?
Am I wrong, or did we not send a bipartisan group of politicians to Ukraine to show how much we supported Ukraine?
How did that work out in terms of intimidating Russia?
Let me ask you this? If Democrats are so worried about the environment, why is Pelosi emitting carbon to make the flight and what about all the pollution the carrier group being repositioned in the South China Sea will cause?
All this just so she can have her picture taken with Taiwanese leaders to fundraise off when she gets home?
Of course, there is also the cost of this to the American taxpayer.
I would wager this little stunt, including the carrier group moving, is costing American taxpayers at least $5 million, and that is probably grossly understated.
But, Pelosi could care less… she gets her headlines, her fundraising boost, and she gets her pictures to hang up on her wall, and that is what is really important… to her.
