Another weekend, another bloodbath in Chicago.
This time, however, a six-year-old little girl was among those hit by gunfire.
There was also a mass shooting, but you did not hear about that because the wrong person was holding the gun.
It Never Ends
This weekend, 37 more people were shot in Chicago over the weekend.
Four of them have died.
They ranged in age from 31 to 56 years old.
I do not know the background of most of the shootings, but I can guess.
The one that bothers me, however, is the one involving a 6-year-old little girl, a shooting that barely registered on the news radar other than local outlets, conservative blogs, and Fox News.
Thankfully, she will be okay.
Did you hear about the mass shooting in Washington Park where five people were shot, three of them in critical condition?
Of course not, because it was probably a gang-banger incident or something related to the rampant drug trade in the city.
You see, mass shootings don’t count when they are carried out by thugs, drug dealers, and gangsters.
The only solace in all of this is that Chicagoans are finally having enough of it, with one resident stating, “I got kids, so this is ridiculous. I know I’m getting out of Chicago.”
Perhaps they all should have thought of that before they put another Democrat in charge of City Hall.
