ICYMI – During most conflicts, there is a truce over the holiday.
It is not exactly a rule, but a concession so both sides can enjoy some peace over the holiday.
That rule went out the window with Putin.
The Russian president unleashed a barrage of more than 40 missiles at a slew of Ukrainian cities.
No Holiday
At the time, there had not been reports about injuries and/or deaths from those attacks in Ukraine.
However, there were reports that three Russian troops were killed in action.
They died, more or less, as a result of friendly fire.
Russians shot down a Ukrainian drone that was flying deep into their territory.
When the drone was destroyed, debris that fell from the sky hit the troops, resulting in three deaths.
This conflict has now been going on for almost a full year, and Putin has finally signaled that he is willing to come the table to discuss a diplomatic solution.
The sooner the better on that front, as the American people are sick and tired of financing this war.
