Judge Aileen Cannon has done it again, and Democrats are losing their minds.
Cannon has pushed pack deadlines on some of the motions, which will further delay Trump’s case.
Expect a complete and utter meltdown on the left from this.
Let the Outrage Begin
Cannon has been rather meticulous in presiding over this case.
Because she was appointed by Trump, there is more than enough scrutiny being paid to her in this case.
That is about to get kicked up a notch because Cannon is pushing back some deadlines even further.
The New York Times reported, “The judge has not yet set a date for Mr. Trump and his two co-defendants to go on trial.
“Because she is still mulling a host of unresolved legal issues, it is exceedingly unlikely that the case will go in front of a jury before the election in November.”
And don’t forget, Trump’s legal team is also going to push for immunity in this case because of the Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity, which could cause even more delays.
But again, I cannot stress enough that Trump’s team is not necessarily expecting to win any or all of these motions.
Their main goal right now is to delay this trial as long as possible to keep the cases out of the courtroom until after the election is over.
If they can do that, there is a very good chance that these cases never see the inside of a courtroom, especially the cases brought by Jack Smith.
Trump’s Attorney General would have the power to kill those cases, which would only leave the RICO case in Georgia to defend, and that case seems to be falling apart more with every passing day.
I cannot believe it, but Trump may get out of this entire mess unscathed.
