Joe Biden has a problem on his hands.
With a split Congress and Democrats holding the Senate, he is about to face yet another veto.
The Senate has passed yet another truly bipartisan piece of legislation meant to dial back a Biden policy.
Decisions…
Biden has always bragged about how he can work deals across the aisle, but that has hardly been the case since he took over the White House.
Instead of helping American solar panel businesses, Biden lifted the tariffs against the Chinese for two years to get his climate agenda rolling.
Quite a few Democrat Senators took exception to that.
When legislation hit the floor to put those tariffs back in place, it passed 56-41, with a total of 12 Democrats walking over to the GOP side of the aisle.
Biden has hinted that he will veto the bill, but he may want to rethink that with such vocal opposition.
For instance, Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) ripped Biden on this, stating, “Ohioans are manufacturing solar panels that can power our economy.
“They just need a level playing field. You can’t say you want American manufacturing to lead the world, while allowing Chinese companies, often subsidized by the Chinese government, to skirt the rules and dump solar panels into the U.S.
“This comes down to whose side you’re on: Do you stand with workers in Ohio, or do you stand with the Chinese Communist Party?”
Now, if I gave you that quote without a name, you probably would have thought it was a Republican.
There is one of the more powerful Democrats in the Senate openly accusing Biden of putting China first!
I cannot wait to see how Biden addresses this one because he sure cannot blame MAGA when a dozen Democrats cross the aisle.
