President Donald Trump announced that he is declassifying and authorizing the release of “more than a foot-high stack of documents” related to surveillance of the 2016 Trump campaign by the Obama administration.
Known colloquially as Obamagate or Russiagate, the spying on the Trump campaign during the 2016 election cycle was part of a larger effort to discredit and undermine the incoming president.
John Solomon, journalist and Editor in Chief of Just the News, revealed that the documents will be released as soon as Friday, January 15.
“He has delivered in a big way. More than a foot-high stack of documents he has authorized to be released by the FBI and the DOJ. These are the things that the FBI has tried to keep from the public for 4 years. They have amazing, big picture revelations,” Solomon told Fox News anchor Lou Dobbs, host of the show “Lou Dobbs Tonight.”
According to Solomon’s news website, Just The News, the release of these documents will confirm suspicions that the entire Russia Collusion narrative was created and leaked to the mainstream media to distract from Hillary Clinton‘s email scandal.
“These are the things the FBI has tried to keep from the public for four years. They have amazing big picture revelations. Let’s start with, I think the most important one, Christopher Steele and his debriefings with the FBI after he was fired for leaking. He told the FBI, ‘the reason I leaked, is because I needed to help Hillary Clinton cover up her email problem,'” Solomon said.
When these documents are finally available to the public, we may finally be able to understand who was behind the attempted sabotage of the Trump presidency.
