It appears the Democrats favor Disney groomers. A Democrat Texas judge welcomed them to move to the Lone Star State following a heated flap with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. The deal follows DeSantis signing a bill eliminating the independent Reedy Creek Improvement District withdrawing Disney’s unique tax status.
In a letter to Disney CEO Bob Chapek, Judge KP George stated the corporation would be warmly accepted in Fort Bend County, southwest of Houston. He explained Fort Bend as a “welcoming and diverse place to do business” in contrast to the “authoritarian, anti-business and culture war attacks” from DeSantis.
The Gateway Pundit formerly reported about the finalizing law on Friday:.
Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill into law on Friday that terminates all special districts that were enacted in Florida prior to 1968, including Disney’s Reedy Creek Improvement District. The new law will remove Disney’s tax privilege and special governing status.
In the middle of its continuous fight, Democrat Judge KP George sent out a letter to Disney CEO Bob Chapek stating the corporation would be warmly accepted in Fort Bend County, southwest of Houston.
He explained Fort Bend as a ‘inviting and varied location to do service.’.
“Our residents and families compose the most diverse county in the United States, deliver extremely high graduation rates, and are one of the top capita purchasers in Texas, have lots of wide open and affordable land, while also being strategically located for the most efficient distribution of goods domestically and internationally including the best access to both inland and water ports in Texas.”
“While you, your company, employees and diverse fans face authoritarian, anti-business and culture war attacks from extremists in Florida, we in Fort Bend are more ready to welcome the Disney family with thousands of good-paying jobs and billions of dollars of investments.”
Judge George concluded:
“I invite you to visit Fort Bend County and see for yourself why our community is the best place for a new Walt Disney World Resort.”
Obviously, the liberal judge has no power to approve such advantages for a business in Texas.
From Timone & Pumba to Tinker Bell, Disney characters are as diverse as Fort Bend County families. I welcome @Disney to visit Fort Bend County as your next destination while you face attacks from the modern day political extremists like @RonDeSantisFL. pic.twitter.com/UMtvN4Cudj
