Donald Trump is lighting the Washington, D.C. swamp on fire with his latest statement warning about the Democrats’ socialist $3.5 trillion spending plan.
On August 11th, the 45th president released a statement calling out the Democrats for their irresponsible spending push.
According to Trump, the Democrats’ wasteful spending package will destroy communities around the U.S., the American Dream, and the country as a whole.
Despite pushback from Republicans, lawmakers approved the $3.5 trillion budget proposal with a party-line vote, 50-49. The proposal is almost guaranteed to fuel the push for socialism in America, according to Donald Trump and other conservatives, as it allocates billions of dollars toward government-sponsored childcare, Medicare, climate change, and other social safety net programs.
“It will overwhelm our schools, and make our nation less safe,” Trump stated. “It raises taxes like we have never seen, while also making many things you buy everyday more expensive (gas, groceries, and much more).”

There are still several steps to be taken before the bill is officially passed.
NPR reports: “House leaders announced their chamber will return from summer recess in two weeks to vote on the fiscal blueprint, which contemplates disbursing the $3.5 trillion over the next decade. Final congressional approval, which seems certain, would protect a subsequent bill actually enacting the outline’s detailed spending and tax changes from a Republican filibuster in the 50-50 Senate, delays that would otherwise kill it.”
