American Trucker Convoy Gets Deplatformed by Big Tech

Organizers of America’s Convoy to DC 2022 made a huge mistake when they picked Facebook to announce and organize their event. On Groundhog Day, Mark Zuckerberg saw scary shadows of an American trucker revolution and dove right back into his bunker. His minions knew just what to do. They censored the deplorable group and it’s organizers into oblivion by deplatforming them.

Convoy responds to censorship

Americans, and not just the ones who drive trucks for a living, are excited at an opportunity to peacefully exercise their Constitutional right of free speech, by supporting the Convoy to DC 2022. That terrifies our acting political leaders.

Nobody who has been fighting the anti-social media battles for the past decade is surprised that Facebook would censor the group right out of existence. They act like it will make the protest go away. Liberals wonder why conservatives are fighting so hard to break up the megalith media giants and give them some healthy competition.

On Wednesday, February 2, the group’s Facebook page was banned from the social media platform. Simply because they plan a peaceful protest, with a convoy of truckers traveling from California to D.C., as their Canadian counterparts have been doing.

Except for some minor incidents which have been denounced by the main organized protest, everything has been legal, proper and peaceful in Canada. The untoward incidents have been questioned as engineered events by opponents to discredit the protest.

Jeremy Johnson, the convoy group’s administrator, told the public that his personal account and the one belonging to fellow trucker Mike Landis were blacked out too. “They like to silence people that speak the truth.” He already made contact with “a civil rights attorney to discuss the next steps.” Meta, the new alias of Facebook admin, told reporters that they “have removed this group for repeatedly violating our policies around QAnon.

That’s funny. QAnon has nothing to do with this one. Also, a whole lot of people believe that lurking behind the Guy Fawkes mask is none other than Christopher Wray. The FBI has been smack in the middle of every political incident for years, from the T2SDA truck protest, to the Bundy Ranch, to Malheur, to the kidnap attempt on Gretchen Whitmer, to the barbarian invasion on January 6, 2021. The list is growing and here’s another example.

Violence-inducing conspiracy

Facebook adds that they pulled QAnon’s plug in October of 2020 when they labeled QAnon as a “violence-inducing conspiracy network” and stated that “group pages and admins with ties to QAnon would be removed.” What this seems to mean is that Convoy to DC 2022 has been declared “violence-inducing.

That gives them an excuse to silence the admins personally too. That’s not fair because the movement spells out clearly they will be peaceful and law-abiding all the way. Anyone who goes rogue faces the consequences of their own actions and violence is discouraged by the group.

Brian Brase, co-organizer of the convoy, disputed the way that Facebook characterized the group. “I have to laugh about that. Can they contact me or something? Can we talk? That’s not true.

Facebook never gave the group a single chance to fix ambiguous language or make any other changes, they just censored it out of existence.

Conservative lawmaker Troy Nehls can see through the censor block. “Don’t they know that patriots can’t be beaten by simply deleting a Facebook group?” He went on to note they “literally wiped Mike Landis and Jeremy completely out of the Facebook.” They “don’t even have a profile anymore.” How can the convoy group “request to review or remove anything? It’s simply not true.” It’s obvious, Mike Landis notes. He’s a trucker himself as well as an organizer. The convoy began to form because people are “fed up with the government overreach.” It’s been brewing for a long time, he observes.

You know, it’s been a long time coming. I feel like Canada set a great precedent on just coming together and easy rolling across the country like that, and coming into, you know, their capital.” There is only one reason for the media ban. The Deep State is scared. “I feel like just the presence of that amount of people that show that they are unhappy with what’s going on is a good way to hopefully get their attention and I feel like this whole Facebook censorship thing right here that we have going on is obviously starting to get someone’s attention.
